1. Orange Bowl unveils BCS title game logo and a statement: The BCS National Championship Game logo incorporates colors and elements that represent the beauty of South Florida. The blue waves represent the world famous beaches of South Florida, while the iconic Orange Bowl orange represents nearly 80 years of college football excellence in South Florida.  The orange border on the BCS National Championship Game logo ties together the rich tradition of the Orange Bowl with the Discover word mark. Next year the Orange Bowl Committee will host the Discover Orange Bowl game on Jan. 1, 2013 and the national title game the next week on Jan. 7, 2013.
